2 New Recipes from tasteofBBQ.com

Hello,

Here's two of the newest recipes from tasteofBBQ and if you're a bacon lover you're in luck!

First up is called the Bacon Explosion. You may have heard about it or read about this fantastic creation, it truly lives up to it's unique name.

If you're a fan of smoky bacon and BBQ then I think you'll really be interested in checking this one out.

The second recipe, stuffed BBQ onions, is an easy side dish that goes great with the bacon explosion.

Bacon Explosion!

The Original Bacon Explosion!

This is an overdose of amazing Smoky BBQ Bacon flavor.

Since it first appeared a few years back and was featured on CNN, Good Morning America and the New York Times the recipe has gone viral.

Now, instead of paying over $40 bucks for one at a specialty butcher you can make your own at home for much less than half the price.

Imagine, a woven layer of bacon surrounding spicy Italian sausage that's stuffed with crispy smoky bacon. All of this is blended and smothered with BBQ seasoning and BBQ sauce.

Add some smoke while cooking and you've just made the Original Bacon Explosion!

Loaded BBQ Onions

This loaded BBQ onion side dish is perfect with the Bacon Explosion.

These aren't just regular fried or grilled onion slices.

These onions stay whole - you basically scoop out some of the onion like you would a pumpkin, dice up what you scooped out and sautee that with some bacon.

Stuff that back into the onion, top with some BBQ sauce, a wee pat of butter and some pepper and on the grill they go.

Again, a little smoke while grilling really adds great flavor to these.

Cook these until they're tender and they just melt in your mouth.

These are two great recipes to kick off the 2014 tasteofBBQ season.

It's been a very long and cold winter up here and I've had lot's of time to work on new recipes so stay tuned, it's going to be a great summer!

Feel free to share this newsletter with your friends.

Until next time,

-Ian
