Let the flavors of Argentina come alive with this mini gourmet burger recipe.
Gourmet Chimichurri sliders are half the size of a regular burger but these little dynamo's pack twice the flavor!
We use this Chimichurri Sauce recipe as the main ingredient in the burger sliders.
You can use this recipe as written for the smaller sliders - great as appetizers, or just make the patties bigger and make a regular sized gourmet burger instead.
You can now purchase the mini slider burger buns at many grocery stores or you can substitute with something else, like thin slices of french bread or even tortialla chips.

Serves: 6 - 12 (makes 12 sliders)

Step 1:
In a mixing bowl combine the first 4 ingredients of this recipe together until well blended.
Step 2:
Measure 1/3 cup of the mixture into the palm of your hand and gently form a small burger patty shape.
Make a slight indent in the center as beef burgers have a tendency to puff up when grilling.
Step 3:
Clean and oil the grates of the grill and pre-heat to medium-high (400F - 450F).
When BBQ reaches temperature place the sliders on the grill.
Close the lid for 7 minutes.
Step 4: Place a slice of cheese on each burger (optional) and close the lid another 5 - 7 minutes.
Serve on mini hamburger buns, mini pita's, tortilla chips or thinly sliced baguette to make your own mini buns as shown below.
Enjoy!
After 7 minutes lift the lid and flip the burgers.
Lift the lid and remove the cooked gourmet burgers to a serving platter.
