Olive Tapenade recipe with Garlic & Cilantro

I think your first reaction to the taste of this olive tapenade recipe is really going to surprise you, I know most people are amazed with the flavors the first time they try it.

It's straightforward enough to make and if you buy pre-sliced olives it makes the chopping part even easier.

Olive tapenade makes a great cold appetizer on it's own just spread on toasted baguette slices or crackers but with it's unique flavor it's perfect on these quick and easy shrimp appetizers.

Makes: 1 3/4 cups

Prep Time: 10 minutes

What you'll need:

  • 1 1/4 cup chopped olives
  • 1 tablespoon chopped capers
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • pepper to taste

Step 1:
Finely chop the olives, capers and fresh cilantro and mince the garlic cloves.

In a small glass bowl or dish combine that with the crumbled feta, lemon juice and a little pepper to taste.

Stir well to mix, cover and refrigerate until ready to use. 

Serving suggestions:

This olive tapenade is fine on it's own spread on crackers or toasted baguette slices or can be used as a base for other cold appetizers like this quick and easy shrimp appetizer.
